Overview
We recognize that conservation is a multi-faceted endeavor that requires the
help and input of many partners, sponsors and institutions that endorse our
efforts.
AFFILIATES
The members of ILCP's Affiliate council play a critically important role in the organization. They provide
advice, help expand the ILCP’s network of partners, and
provide ideas to the organization and its members.
Affiliates may not vote (except for those serving
on committees), hold office, or serve on
elective/appointed committees. An affiliate is
appointed to membership by the Executive
Committee. Any voting member may provide the
Executive Committee with an Affiliate nomination.
Affiliates pay no membership fees.
BOARD OF ADVISORS
The ILCP’s Board of Advisors includes some of the most outstanding
scientists, conservation leaders, media editors, publishers, and corporate
leaders of our times.
Conservation
organizations
First and foremost in our list of partners are
conservation organizations around the world. We are aware of the vast body of
knowledge and expertise these organizations have and we look forward to working
with them to empower them with our own expertise in the creation of awe
inspiring images that are capable of getting difficult messages
across.
Corporate Partners
It
has been said that the most powerful force on our planet is that of
corporations. We recognize the commitment of some leading corporations to be a
positive force for conservation and will
actively seek to form partnerships
with them to create a new environmental consciousness for the new
Millennium.
Scientific Institutions
Cutting edge science about the
state of our planet is vital to the task of deciding what the most urgent
conservation actions are and where they are needed. We hope to work with leading
scientists both in research institutions and in the field to help communicate
and publicize their recommendations to a vast audience.
Zoos
The zoo and aquarium communities have
always been natural partners for photographers, both in the creation and display
of images. The large and attentive audiences these institutions provide are an
excellent multiplying vehicle to get conservation messages across.
Media Partners
Some of our most important
partners are those specializing on various aspects of communication that
complement photography, including journalists, television, film, advertising and
public relations.
