Wolcott Henry

Photographer and founder of Marine Photobank

Wolcott has been involved in marine conservation for over 20 years. He is president and chairman of The Curtis and Edith Munson Foundation which supports marine conservation projects with an emphasis on fisheries management and marine protected areas.

Wolcott has served on a number of non profit boards, including the World Wildlife Fund-US, and The Ocean Conservancy. He currently serves as a director of ILCP, The Ocean Foundation, EarthEcho International, and World Wildlife Fund-Philippines.

He is also an accomplished underwater photographer. In 1988, he became a contract photographer for National Geographic collaborating with Dr. Sylvia Earle on 3 books, one on our national marine sanctuaries called Wild Ocean, and two children's books on marine life.

Wolcott has worked on promoting conservation photography for many years. In 2001, to address the need for more compelling, high quality images of human impacts on the marine environment, he created Marine Photobank.

Mark Lukes

Founder and President, Fine Print Imaging

Mark’s leadership role in the photo industry has led him in many directions. In 1994, he spearheaded the founding of the North American Nature Photography Association (NANPA) and became its first president. In 2005, he worked with Larry Padgett to form The Center for Fine Art Photography and became its first president as well. Mark has been working closely with the International League of Conservation Photographers from its inception. “Because of the time I’ve spent in nature, it’s impossible for me to not feel an obligation to do whatever I can to preserve what I’ve seen and enjoyed for others in generations to follow.” With his wife and business partner, Linda Helm, Mark formed Images for the Environment in the 80’s and recently changed the name of the organization to Art for Conservation . The focus of Art for Conservation is to provide resources to artists and photographers who share his passion for conserving nature. Mark has lived in Fort Collins, Colorado, since 1973, has three grown children (all living in Colorado) and four grandchildren.

Kathy Moran

Senior Editor for Natural History at National Geographic

Kathy Moran is National Geographic magazine’s senior editor for natural history projects. A 29-year veteran of the National Geographic Society, Kathy has been producing projects about terrestrial and underwater ecosystems for the magazine since 1990. At last count, she has produced more than 150 stories for the magazine. Recent highlights include editing photographer Nick Nichols coverage on the redwoods for National Geographic magazine’s October issue. Moran is a founding member of the International League of Conservation Photographers. She is always on the lookout for new contributors for the natural history inventory at National Geographic .

Shari Sant Plummer

President, Code Blue Charitable Foundation, Environmental Philanthropist and Activist

Shari Sant Plummer is President of Code Blue Charitable Foundation, Secretary/Trustee of the Summit Charitable Foundation, Vice President/Trustee of Seacology, Board Member of the Deep Search Foundation, Board Member of International League of Conservation Photographers, member of the BLUE Ocean Film Festival Advisory Board, the Smithsonian Ocean Initiative Advisory Council, and WWF National Council and Marine Leadership Committee.

An avid diver and ocean activist, Shari travels extensively throughout the world promoting ocean conservation and environmental awareness.
